Pocket Susan Advice: Upromise. This is specifically for people with student loans through Sallie Mae. You have the option of signing up for the UPromise program where you register credit cards, debit cards, and/or store discount cards (like the Kroger Plus Card) and then when you make qualified purchases, a certain amount goes towards your loan. It can be a loan you are currently making payments on or on a loan in the future, which is good to know for people that actually want to have children. Anyway, you can also have friends and family register their cards and link it to your account to accumulate savings much more quickly. (A shout out to my sister who registered all of her cards for me!) Every penny helps!
