We Should Write Lifetime Movie Scripts

The UTPD sends out daily reports of the activities they have investigated, tickets issued, and arrests made.  The officers that send these reports have a great sense of humor and manage to keep these awful human foibles light.  Take for example the excerpt that I read and sent to Justin via iChat the other day:

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject reported a suspect in an assault case was inside the building waiting to graduate.  Officers confirmed the suspect had an active warrant and was in-fact inside the building.  The subject was located and taken into custody for the outstanding Outside Agency arrest warrant. The subject was transported to Central Booking where he took a walk... just not the one he had planned on taking that night.  Occurred on: X-XX-10, at 6:20 PM.

Our iChat conversation continued:

Suze: hilarious... and sad
Justin: wow.  why was he arrested? I seem to have missed that....
Suze: oh - suspect in an assault case
Justin: got it.  that IS sad
Suze: maybe he shouldn't beat people up
Justin: touche
Suze: wouldn't that be an awesome end to a lifetime movie?!
Justin: TOTALLY
Suze: the bad boyfriend gets collared as he sleazily tries to graduate

And it was at this point that we realized that we had missed our callings...

Pocket Susan Advice: Don't quit your day job.
